So we went to Giza and saw The Great Pyramids. This experience surpassed all of my expectations and is by far the most amazing event in my travels as of yet. I cannot begin to describe how incredible it is to climb those things, although we only went halfway up one of the taller one’s (you’re not supposed to be able to climb them at all, but our guide knew the guard and most likely bribed him). Words simply cannot describe the experience. My pictures and videos will have to suffice...
The J’s and I took a tour via Arabian horses and we rode all around The Great Pyramids to the sphinx. We went inside a couple of tombs, some of which are still being excavated. There was even a door that has not yet been opened- oh, but for a chisel! I think we got owned by the tour-guide people, because at the end of the day we had only enough for a taxi home and we started with so much! Still, it was worth it and I wouldn’t trade that day for anything.
