Giorno due- in Rimini, Italia

Today is my second day in Italia, but much better than the first. I had a horrible first day, at the worst hotel where everbody hates Americans. I was refused service at a local restaurant despite my efforts to prove to the servers that I was Canadian. I havent seen the nicer (tourist) part of Venice, but I have seen the shithole that is the shithole of Venice.

I really have never been on my own like this before and I never thought it would be as emotional as it has been, physically and mentally. All Ive wanted to do is sleep and dream of what Id be doing if I were home in comfort. But fuck that (forgive my language), I am stronger than that. I have to be...

Luckily, a beautiful Australian girl helped me figure a lot of stuff out and helped me get on a train to see my friend, Chris, who met me in a hostel in Rimini. We spent this last day at the beach and walking around Rimini, and though we head for Roma tomorow, Ive realized that the smaller towns are where I think i want to be.

Must learn Italian. Chris is helping me catch up....

Catch you all later. Feel free to post your own comments.

They don't like Americans eh? But what if you are an American that hates his own country and wants to get out as soon as feasibly possible? It seems that you would have common ground right? You can play that card, or the whole Canadian thing, but I have a feeling they hear that alot.

Don't let Venice get you down man. Most places in Europe love americans, cause they have money! Sure they may talk crap behind their backs, but most Europeans love tourists cause they have money (especially in the smaller town). It will all get better from Venice, the worst city ever!
